Thanks to my friends at Brower Boat on Westlake Ave. in Seattle, Fairway is looking much better with her new paint and mast. It took a while to get it all done but it was worth it in the end. I think these pictures will tell the story. The work was completed in September 2000. Fairway is a custom 28 foot trawler built in 1988 by Frank Von Cullin of Vashon Island. She is built of Alaska yellow cedar. Power is a 46 hp Westerbeke and she carries 180 gal of fuel. My normal cruise is at 7 knots and I burn exactly one gallon per hour! She displaces 8 Ton and has a very nice steady motion in a seaway. She has been to Alaska twice with the builder and previous owner spending time on her there. I plan to take her to Alaska next year. The first three pictures were taken at the Poulsbo public docks with the Old Swede church in the background.
